The Hampden Football Netball League is pleased to announce their junior interleague coaches for the 2024 South West District Football League Junior Carnival.
The HFNL will take four teams, including two U17 squads and two U14 steams to the one-day carnival on Sunday, May 5th. The teams will play games at Heathmere Recreation Reserve and Portland’s Alexander Park.
Respected Portland Tigers junior coach Justin Impey will lead one of the U17 teams, while Warrnambool’s Ben Parkinson will guide the other U17 squad. Both coaches were a part of the Hampden Football Netball League U17 Interleague coaching panel in 2023 against Ballarat.
Koroit premiership coach Andrew Foster will take charge of one of the U14 teams, while experienced North Warrnambool junior mentor Aaron Ross will coach the other U14 team.
League Administrator Trent Hill says we are thrilled with the calibre of coaches leading our junior interleague teams in 2024.
“All four coaches are experienced mentors and the learnings our junior players will receive off them will be highly beneficial towards their football,” he said.
“We as a league are excited to be a part of the carnival to showcase our strong junior talent.”
