TEN Hampden Football Netball League exports featured in round 16 of AFL action last weekend.

Josh Corbett, Gary Rohan, Hugh McCluggage, Rowan Marshall, Willem Drew and Sam Walsh were part of winning sides, while Zach Merrett, Jamaine Jones, Sean Darcy and Ben Cunnington could not get their clubs over the line.

Jay Rantall, Lewis Taylor, Marty Gleeson & Jamara Ugle-Hagan all represented their clubs at VFL level, while Easton Wood is still on the sidelines.

Josh Corbett (Gold Coast Suns)

The North Warrnambool forward was subbed out of the game with concussion in the Suns 10 point win over Richmond, but he collected seven disposals and kicked a crucial goal before his injury.

Zach Merrett (Essendon)

The former Cobden on-baller was one of Essendon’s standouts in its loss to Geelong. Kicked a goal to go alongside 36 disposals and seven tackles.

Gary Rohan (Geelong)

The Cobden forward had a more quieter performance than recent weeks but still managed to hit the scoresheet in the Cats victory. Has kicked at least one goal in each of his past four matches.

Hugh McCluggage (Brisbane Lions)

The South Warrnambool midfielder kicked a goal and collected 23 possessions in Brisbane’s 52 point win over Adelaide.

Sean Darcy (Fremantle)

The Cobden ruckman produced a best on ground effort in Fremantle’s 16 point defeat to Carlton. Rucked tirelessly all night, recorded plenty of disposals and capped it off with a goal.

Sam Walsh (Carlton)

The Bostocks Creek junior finished with 25 disposals and a clever goal in Carlton’s win over Fremantle. Has consistently been amongst the Blues best players this season.

Willem Drew (Port Adelaide)

The multiple Koroit premiership player collected 18 disposals and six tackles in the Power’s 34 point win over Hawthorn.

Jamaine Jones (West Coast Eagles)

The Portland small forward collected seven possessions before he was subbed out with an ankle injury in the third term of the Eagles 92 point loss to Sydney.

Rowan Marshall (St Kilda)

The Portland ruckman kicked a goal from 14 touches in the Saints thrilling nine point win over Collingwood.

Ben Cunnington (North Melbourne)

The inside midfielder from Cobden was at his bullocking best in the Kangaroos 39 point loss to the Western Bulldogs. Finished as one of his side’s best performers after he scored 2.2 and found the football 26 times.

Easton Wood (Western Bulldogs)

The Camperdown defender is currently two to three weeks away from being available for senior selection as he recovers from an ankle injury.

Jay Rantall (Collingwood)

The South Warrnambool winger had 28 disposals in Collingwood’s VFL win over Sandringham.

Lewis Taylor (Sydney)

The Terang Mortlake wingman had 30 disposals and kicked a goal in Sydney’s VFL loss to Frankston. Is in strong from at the level but finding it hard to break into the Swans AFL side.

Marty Gleeson (Essendon)

The Koroit defender had 18 touches in a solid performance for Essendon’s VFL side last Friday night.

Jamara Ugle-Hagan (Western Bulldogs)

The South Warrnambool talent had 6 touches and a goal for Footscray in the VFL on the weekend. That was enough to earn him his AFL Debut this weekend! Congrats Jamara!
