This week is an important time for the football community. From April 28th to May 4th, we are celebrating Community Umpire Week. It’s a fantastic opportunity to shine a light on the crucial role umpires play and encourage more people to get involved in umpiring AFL at the grassroots level.
Without umpires, there is no game. Umpires don’t always get every decision right—they’re human, and mistakes happen. Remember, they are making split-second decisions in a fast-paced game. Respect is key, both for the umpires and for the game itself.
