The Hampden Football Netball League are pleased to announce the naming of both the Open Netball Best and Fairest and Division 1 Netball Best and Fairest awards. From season 2022 onwards, these awards will be known as follows:

Open Netball Best and Fairest: Dot Jenkins Medal

Division 1 Netball Best and Fairest: Tracey Baker Medal

Netball has now been part of the Hampden league since 1987, and we are honoured to recognise two outstanding members of the HFNL Community.  The HFNL acknowledges and celebrates the significant contributions of many throughout its netball history.  When deliberating suitable candidates for the naming of these awards, the HFNL consulted various stakeholders throughout the league and the community, assessing suitability against a range of criteria including: Minimum of 25 years’ service to netball in the HFNL, played and coached at the highest level within the HFNL and significant contributions both on and off the court.

With the longstanding history of both the Maskell and Lew Kelly Medals, the HFNL is delighted that their netball counterparts will have their own opportunity to celebrate and enrich the history of HFNL netball.

Dorothy (Dot) Jenkins

• HFNL A Grade Player – 1987-1995 (Mortlake FNC)

• Mortlake Premiership Captain/Coach – 1992

• A Grade Netball Coach North Warrnambool Eagles –  2000 – 2004

• Coach A1, Under15/15 Reserves & Under 17 Coach North Warrnambool – 2005 – 2019 (including 8 premierships)

• HFNL Junior Interleague and Regional State League Coach 
• HFNL A Grade League Best & Fairest – 1991.

• C Grade Badged umpire – Club umpiring NWEFNC.                                      

• Life Member – North Warrnambool Eagles FNC.

• Life member – HFNL

• HFNL Executive Member – 2020 – Current

• 35 years of service to netball as a player, umpire and coach

Tracey Baker

• 448 HFNL A Grade/Open Games. 392 with Camperdown FNC, 56 with Cobden FNC (HFNL Record) – 1989 – 2021

• HFNL A Grade Best and Fairest – 1992, 2012

• HFNL A Reserve Best and Fairest – 2007

• 33 years of service as a player and coach

• Camperdown FNC A Grade Best and Fairest – 1992, 1992, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2009, 2012

• Coach of Camperdown FNC A Grade, A Reserve/Division 1, 17 & Under and 13 & Under (1 Premiership – A Reserve)

• Life Member – Camperdown FNC
