Presidents Welcome

Presidents Welcome

22nd March 2021

A very warm welcome to the 2021 football netball season.

On behalf of the board, thank you to everyone for your continued support, it really does mean a lot. It’s at the start of another season that we are all reminded and heartened by the loyalty and passion of the Hampden Football Netball League family. There’s no doubt we have had to endure the toughest 12 months period in our 90 year history. Like you, we are so excited to get our 2021 season up and running.

Our partners and sponsors are an integral part of our resilience and strength that underpins our great league. I’d like to extend a warm welcome, and thank you for your continued support of the Hampden Football Netball League.

In particular, to our 4 major sponsors, McDonald’s, Sungold Milk, Lyndoch Living, Powercor, plus all the other sponsors who have come back on board for 2021. The Ace Radio network, 3YBFM/Coast FM Radio, which will for the first time be live streaming the match of the round plus finals.

By all accounts, the clubs have either retained players or recruited well over the off season. There some very well credentialed players to come into our league, so a very warm welcome to you all. You will find this league to be of a very high standard.

To all the netballers, the standard you produce week in week out is second to none. This league is up there in the top echelon in the state for netball.

To all the behind the scene people who work tirelessly every week, we thank you and appreciate your help.

To all the umpires, we thank you and acknowledge the time and effort you put into adjudicating our football, netball matches.

I would like to acknowledge the league board members who, even throughout last year’s covid pandemic, still meet every month to keep the league ticking over. We, like you, love this league and want to make it even stronger in the future.

In summing up, I would like to wish everyone a very successful and covid free season. All the very best for 2021
