Just when we thought we were getting back to some normality we get hit with another lockdown and before you know, we are trying to find a way back to Community Sport.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge all the Club members and the Executive for working hard to facilitate a return to football and netball across all grades.
Last Week’s results
It was exciting to see the Sunday Juniors return to competitions last week. In the 15/U Reserve netball, Hamilton Kangaroos easily accounted for Koroit, Warrnambool had a dominant win over Port Fairy and in the top of the table clash, South Warrnambool narrowly defeated Cobden by 6 goals.
In the 13/U Reserves, Terang/Mortlake were comfortable winners over North Warrnambool, Port Fairy took the 4 points with a narrow win against Warrnambool and in a close game South Warrnambool defeated Cobden.
Umpire Appreciation Round
Unfortunately, due to COVID, we were forced to postpone our Rules Discussion and our Umpire Appreciation round. Due to other commitments, we will not be able to get Barb Cox and Raechel Richards back to our district this season but we certainly plan on rescheduling the Umpire Appreciation round for a later date. Umpire mentoring will also continue throughout the season. We will have more details on this in future articles.
