TWO Portland products enjoyed victories with their respective clubs, but it was an otherwise tough weekend for the remaining Hampden League exports who graced the AFL stage in round four of season 2022.

Willem Drew

Home Club: Koroit

AFL Club: Port Adelaide

Stats: 6 kicks, 12 handballs, 6 mark

Ten tackles and six clearances showed the former Koroit premiership star worked hard for the Power but his club was no match for reigning premier Melbourne at Adelaide Oval.

Jamarra Ugle-Hagan

Home Club: South Warrnambool

AFL Club: Western Bulldogs

Stats: 2 kicks, 3 handballs, 2 marks

A quiet night for the South export summed up his side’s night, with his Bulldogs outclassed by Richmond.

Sam Walsh

Home Club: Cobden

AFL Club: Carlton

Stats: 13 kicks, 15 handballs, 6 marks

Battled gamely in the Blues loss against the Gold Coast Suns, collecting 28 possessions playing through the midfield.

Rowan Marshall

Home Club: Portland

AFL Club: St Kilda

Stats: 7 kicks, 4 handballs, 2 marks

Eleven touches and 13 hit-outs was a solid contribution from the Portland tall in the Saints big win over Hawthorn.

Hugh McCluggage

Home Club: South Warrnambool

AFL Club: Brisbane Lions

Stats: 11 kicks, 11 handballs, 4 marks

Found plenty of the footy once again, but could not help the Lions hold onto a slim lead, with Geelong kicking clear in the last quarter to triumph at GMBHA Stadium.

Jamaine Jones

Home Club: Portland

AFL Club: West Coast Eagles

Stats: 6 kicks, 0 handballs, 2 mark

The former Portland Tiger’s pressure was immense in the Eagles first win of 2022, with his side scoring a 13 point win over Collingwood.

Sean Darcy

Home Club: Cobden

AFL Club: Fremantle

Stats: 5 kicks, 8 handballs, 1 mark

Made a solid return from an ankle injury, registering 13 touches, 27 hit-outs and a goal in the Dockers victory over Greater Western Sydney.

Josh Corbett

Home Club: North Warrnambool Eagles

AFL Club: Gold Coast Suns

Stats: 8 kicks, 4 handballs, 7 marks

After being named as the medical sub in round 3, Josh was elevated to the main 22 this week. Putting in a solid performance (including 2 goals) in the Sun’s impressive win over Carlton.


Zach Merrett

Home Club: Cobden

AFL Club: Essendon

Still 5-6 weeks away in his recovery from a syndesmosis injury sustained in the Bombers round two loss to Brisbane.

Gary Rohan

Home Club: Cobden

AFL Club: Geelong

Will not feature at AFL level until at least the second half of the season as he builds fitness in his recovery from a back and hip injury sustained during the pre-season.

Ben Cunnington

Home Club: Cobden

AFL Club: North Melbourne

Sidelined indefinitely with testicular cancer.
