The Hampden Football Netball League is proud to confirm its coaching panel for the upcoming interleague representative clashes against Ballarat, set for Friday, July 5 at Eastern Oval.
Leading the U23 men’s side is none other than Hampden League premiership coach Adam Dowie. A passionate advocate for rep footy, Dowie brings decades of experience and was a key assistant to AFL great Jonathan Brown in 2024. His leadership will be vital in guiding our top young talent against quality opposition.
Ben Parkinson returns to helm the U17 boys side for a second consecutive year. A respected figure in junior development, Parkinson’s ability to nurture emerging talent continues to be a cornerstone of HFNL’s youth pathway programs.
On the female front, Chris Meade is back to lead the U19 girls. A long-time contributor to the growth of female football in the region, Meade’s commitment ensures another strong campaign as the girls look to build on past successes.
Meanwhile, the first five rounds of senior footy have delivered everything fans could ask for. Just two games separate fourth and ninth on the ladder, proving once again that in the HFNL, every game is up for grabs. The competitive balance across the board has made for exciting and unpredictable contests each week.
This weekend also sees our junior footballers take part in the South West Carnival. Over 80 HFNL players will proudly don the league colours, gaining invaluable experience on a bigger stage. We wish all our juniors the best and hope they enjoy the opportunity to play at this level.
There’s a lot to look forward to – good luck to all players, coaches and clubs in what promises to be a great few weeks of football.
