We are thrilled to announce that Hampden FNL is partnering with AFL Victoria to introduce an exciting new program for youth girls in our region: AFL Nines! This initiative offers a fantastic opportunity for clubs and players to come together and engage in the sport we all love in a fun and interactive way.
What is AFL Nines?
AFL Nines is a modified version of football played on smaller fields with teams of 9 players. This format creates a welcoming, tackle-free environment, making it perfect for both new and existing players to experience the joy of footy.
This initiative is essential for our league as we strive to develop female football in our community. It’s a wonderful chance for clubs to field teams and compete against one another, while also attracting new players to join the sport and get involved.
Competition Information:
– Date: Sunday 16th March
– Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
– Venue: Deakin University Oval & Football Facility
– Age Groups: Under 15 Girls and Under 18 Girls
– Cost: $35 per participant (to be registered with their team)
