The Hampden Football Netball League has had a day to remember at the Netball Victoria Association Championship Finals. Both the 13 & Under and the 17 & Under teams won their respective competitions and were crowned State Champions. This is the first time the HFNL has taken out two titles in the same year. The Open and 15 & Under Teams both made it to the Semi-Finals and were unlucky not to advance to the finals.
HFNL was the only league/association to make it to the Semi-Finals in all four of the female competitions, thus showing the health and strength of Netball in our league. This is an outstanding result, not just for the players, coaches and umpires participating today, but for everyone who contributes to Hampden League netball week in and week out. So to every coach, player, parent and volunteer at our member clubs, we thank you and everyone should feel proud of this achievement.
We would to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors, who without we would not be able to provide these opportunities for players, coaches and umpires. In particular our major sponsors McDonalds, Powercor, Lyndoch Living, Sungold and 3YB/Coast Fm. Additionally South West Tafe who support our Juniors and Frolic Lane who support our netball umpires.
