The Hampden Football Netball League are pleased to announce the release of the 2021 Premiership Season Fixture.
After extensive collaboration with clubs to cater for a number of fixture requests, the HFNL are enthusiastic for the season ahead following the cancellation of the 2020 Senior Premiership Competitions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We would like to take this opportunity to thank member clubs for their cooperation during this process.
Features of the 2021 Fixture include the season opener between Koroit and South Warrnambool at Victoria Park on Good Friday, a ‘Super Saturday’ in Round 1 between Terang Mortlake and Camperdown, an ANZAC day fixture between Portland and Hamilton Kangaroos and several twilight and night fixtures throughout the season.
Clubs were encouraged by the HFNL to consider twilight and night fixtures, and remain open to more fixtures moving to such timeslots should there be mutual agreement between participating clubs.
The season opener between Koroit and South Warrnambool will take place on Good Friday, while Round 1 will officially commence on April 10.
Furthermore, the 2021 Grand Final is scheduled for September 18.
The HFNL acknowledges that COVID-19 may continue to present various challenges throughout 2021, and is committed to remaining agile in its decision-making. As such, we advise that fixture changes may be necessary throughout the course of the season.
The HFNL also look forward to making some exciting new sponsorship announcements in the weeks ahead.
